I am a retired CT Certified public school teacher of Bridgeport public schools grades K-8. I am also certified as a library media specialist. My teaching career has spanned 42 years and still counting. I have taught in public, private, and parochial schools in Bridgeport since 1970. 

I am currently the District 5 Democratic candidate for Town Council 2012. What I would like to see in District 5 is much more attention being paid to abandoned and severely neglected properties which create neighborhood apathy and blight. Such properties bring all of our property values down and only add to the already devastated real estate market.

I am also very focused on the education of our children.  My teaching career  was successful in that I achieved good student growth in an inner city environment during an era of  minimal of services.  I bring this perspective to Stratford.
