Summer Officially Begins with Saturday’s Town Event

Stratford's Main Street Festival hosts diversity of local vendors.

The fourth Stratford Main Street Festival will kick off Saturday, hosting a town-wide celebration of the community.

The festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. around Main Street, from East Broadway to West Broad Street, including West Broad Street.

Diana Puterski, festival chairperson, said organizers are expecting between 8,000 and 12,000 people to attend. Good weather usually means more people will go, but it is a rain or shine event.

“The festival is a nice way to bring the whole community together and to see how much we have to offer in Stratford,” Puterski said. “There’s a little bit of everything, and it’s very geared toward families, so there’s a focus on children’s activities. It’s a great way to get out and officially start the summer season.”
