Jasmine is a Stratford resident who is a senior at Bridge Academy. After attending a presentation at her school, Jasmine enrolled in the HEROS (Higher Education through OverSeas exchange) program in Bridgeport.
HEROS is a non-profit organization that offers high school students a free after-school program emphasizing leadership skills, public speaking, local and international community service, as well as personal essay writing skills. She hopes to be among the students selected to travel to Benin, West Africa, later this year where they will help to build classrooms in a remote village.

Jasmine is also enrolled at the Music and Arts Center for Humanity where she performs Hip Hop, Jazz and Modern dancing. She will be pursuing psychology and performing arts in college in the hopes of one day owning her own dance therapy company.
