Reading is Magical Fundraiser at Barnes & Noble

Get your shopping done and help the Stratford Library Children's Department. Begins Nov. 30 with Family Fun Night.

The Stratford Library Children's Department will hold a special “Reading is Magical" Bookfair Fundraiser at the Barnes & Noble of Milford from Nov. 30 to Dec. 5 with a percentage of purchases benefiting the Stratford Library Children's Department.

It kicks off with a "Family Night" on Friday, Nov. 30, from 6 to 8 pm. Families can play Wizard of Oz mini-golf, make wands, join a magical scavenger hunt and, for younger children, play enchanted star games. At 6:15 pm, Magician Jay Reidy will present a 20-minute magic show and at 6:40 pm, children can also participate in a costume parade.

Library patrons can shop Nov. 30 to Dec. 5 using a bookfair voucher at the Milford Barnes & Noble. Vouchers are available at the Stratford Library and online at www.stratfordlibrary.org. Supporters may also shop online at bn.com/bookfairs using the library's ID number (#10852390) on the payment page.
