Bunnell, Stratford High Grads Fill Football Classic Roster

Seven local players and a coach will play for Fairfield County against New Haven County this Saturday.

The Fairfield County Hall of Fame, which , winning Stratford High baseball coach Jim Penders Sr. and legendary softball player Ed Finnegan, for induction, will send a football team with a big contingent up against its New Haven County counterpart this Saturday.

According to an article by the Connecticut Post, the Fairfield County team will include recent Stratford High graduates Asia Bolling, Donald Graham and Brian Zapata, and Bunnell graduates Jiwad Chisholm, Jared Vasquez, J.J. Bivona and Nick Salza, plus Stratford High Coach John Svatik.

The Hall of Fame Football Classic is scheduled for July 14 at 5 p.m. at Ken Strong Stadium in West Haven.
