Fairfield University, University of Bridgeport Meet in Basketball Exhibition

The University of Bridgeport men’s basketball team takes on the Fairfield University Stags in an exhibition match tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Bridgeport’s Webster Bank Arena. Expectations are high for the UB Purple Knights. In a preseason coaches' poll, Bridgeport was picked to finish second in the East Coast Conference.

The Yale Bulldogs take on their Ivy League rivals the Brown Bears at the Yale Bowl on Saturday at noon. The Bulldogs are having a strong football season, with a 4-3 record (3-1 in the Ivy League). The Bears are looking even better with a 6-1 overall record. Both teams are tied for second place in the league. The visiting team in the rivalry has won 12 of the last 15 games.

The Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team is ranked tenth in NCAA East Division II Regional with a 19-9 record. Their final regular season game is on the road Saturday against fourth-ranked Stonehill College.
