Bunnell Band and Color Guard Spreads Spirit and Pride

The high school's color guard and band is looking to buy new uniforms.

School spirit and pride. No matter the occasion, the Bunnell High School band and color guard brings it.

And the student organization was representing on Saturday at the Stratford Main Street Festival. Manning the booth was Bunnell sophomore Alyssa Ingnanson.

She said the band and color guard, which is comprised of students from both Bunnell and Stratford High School, is in need of new uniforms. And they can use all the support they can get, she added. The band and color guard recently tried to secure a $50,000 prize from the Pepsi Challenge, but that attempt didn't pan out.

So while the band and color guard is working on raising funds, it doesn't keep them from promoting that strong sense of pride and school spirit -- like they did on Saturday at the festival. For more information about the band and color guard, check out their website
