A Different Approach on Politics in Stratford

    I just want to get an idea from other people who live in Stratford their ideas on the state of politics in our town. After coming off a mayoral race earlier this month that had a rather poor voter turnout, I feel that our town has become rather apathetic to local politics. 
       My idea for Stratford is putting together a third party of the people not affiliated with either one of the major parties in town because I believe the two-party system is inherently flawed both on the local and national level. 
         To anyone who would like to be politically active in Stratford, is this an idea worth pursuing? I feel third party candidates can win in Stratford because our town is really looking for some fresh and new ideas as well as new people going forward. I do not feel the current one party rule over our town is a very good thing and unfortunately the Democrats have had a lot of trouble the past couple elections. Local elections really matter and I think that will be proven in the years to come by the current leadership of Stratford.
