Stratford Police Investigating Home Invasion on Light Street

The following arrest information was supplied by the Stratford Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Stratford police detectives are investigating a home invasion that occurred on Light Street early Saturday, Nov. 12.

The suspect, Bradlaugh Blair, 33, of Bridgeport, was charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree assault and home invasion.

Police said Blair forced his way into the Light Street home and assaulted the homeowner, a male who reportedly had to be transported to an area hospital for treatment. Police said the homeowner and suspect know each other, and the incident is not considered a random act.

The US Marshal Service Violent Fugitive Task Force took Blair into custody and turned him over to Stratford police on Nov. 15, police said.

Blair was processed and held on $250,000 bond. He was transported from Stratford Police Department Headquarters Thursday for a court hearing in Bridgeport, police said.

The case remains under investigation and anyone who may have information is urged to call Stratford police at 203.385.4120 or 203.375.TIPS (8477).
