Police said Chiarantano also gave officers false information related to the alleged June 2012 incident. The Stratford man was held in lieu of $5,000 bond before being released from custody by Trumbull police last month.

His case is awaiting a plea. Chiarantano is due back in court April 30, according to the pending case detail on the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch's website.
