Stratford firefighters saved a pet dog in a fire Sunday afternoon at 446 Woodend Road, the department's Facebook page reports.
No one was injured in the fire, which was called in at about 4:30 p.m., according to the post.
The post said firefighters arrived with heavy smoke showing at the residence.
The fire was located in the kitchen and extended to the exterior of the rear and second floor, which was where the dog was rescued from, according to the post.
What is your point Patricia? Are you saying you wish someone was home when their house caught on fire? The firefighters did save the dog, that was in the home when the fire started, so it must not have taken them that long to get there or the dog would not be alive. I also read there was no damage to the adjoining units so it sounds like the firefighters did their job and did it well.
