[UPDATED] Rollover on Broadbridge Avenue

No one was injured during the one-car accident, police said.

A driver walked away unhurt after the car she was traveling in along Broadbridge Avenue earlier this morning rolled over, trapping her inside and requiring firefighters to remove her through the vehicle's roof.

According to Assistant Chief Tim Brennan, the call about the one-car accident came in at 9:11 a.m. this morning.

Engines 1 and 5, Ladder 3 and Car 1 all responded to the scene, the department reported.

Upon arrival, Brennan said firefighters found they were unable to remove the driver — who was the only passenger — through any of the car's doors due to damage the vehicle sustained during the accident, as well as the fact that it came to rest on its side afterwards.

"We had to stabilize the car with struts. And then extricate her through the roof," Brennan told Patch.
