PHOTO: Stratford Police Search for Suspect in Hotel Armed Robbery

Local police are searching for an unidentified black male who they said stole about $400 and a cell phone in an armed robbery at Comfort Suites on Monday night.

Stratford police are looking for the suspect in an armed robbery that took place Monday night at the located at 1500 South Avenue in Stratford.

Police described the suspect as a black male, about 25 years old and 6 feet tall with short hair and a slim build.

At about 9 p.m. Monday, the man entered the hotel, hopped over the lobby's counter and robbed the business of about $400 and a cell phone, police said. During the robbery the man was armed with a small black semiautomatic handgun, police said, adding that no one was injured in the incident.
