Early Morning Blaze Totals Detached Garage

Stratford firemen battled early Thursday morning blaze at Main Street and King's College Place.

Stratford firefighters responded to a fully involved garage fire early Thursday morning.

At about 3:50 a.m., engines 1, 3 and 5, along with ladder 1 and car 3 were dispatched to the area of Main Street and King's College Place on a report of a garage fire.

When they arrived, they found a 30' x 30' detached garage heavily involved in fire, although no nearby structures were threatened, officials said.

Firemen quickly attacked the fire with three water hose lines and brought the blaze under control quickly.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of blaze remains under investigation.
