Armed Man Takes Off with Cash in Stratford Hotel Robbery

An unidentified man made off with about $600 cash after robbing a Stratford hotel at gunpoint early this morning.

Police have not yet released an image of the suspect, but video surveillance reportedly shows a white male dressed in all black enter the Ramada Inn holding a long gun.

The suspect pointed the gun at the front desk clerk and demanded money, police said. The cash was placed into a white plastic bag supplied by the suspect and he then fled the 225 Lordship Boulevard business heading east, at about 3:45 a.m. today, June 12.

There were no injuries or shots fired, police said.

The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Stratford Police Department at 203-385-4119.
