Obituary: Diane Colacurcio Giardina, 73

Diane A. Colacurcio Giardina, age 73, of Stratford beloved wife of Giuseppe Giardina, passed away peacefully on Dec. 29, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Diane was born on Feb. 8, 1940 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Cesare and Adelaide DeLuca Colacurcio.

She was employed by the state of Connecticut as a Secretary for 20 years. Diane enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, always having dinner at 5 p.m., was a member of the Stratford Baldwin Center and always cherished spending time with family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her beloved husband Giuseppe, Diane is also survived by two daughters, Jennifer Giardina of Stratford and Julia Giardina of Stratford, two granddaughters, Deanna and Gianna, one brother, Daniel Colacurcio of California, and one sister, Marie Colacurcio of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

Due to the inclement weather and area road conditions, a memorial mass will take place on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 10 a.m. in the Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Ave., Stratford, celebrated by Rev. Andrew G. Marus.
