Obituary: Barry W. Blaisdell, Age 70

Barry W. Blaisdell, age 70, of Stratford beloved husband of Carol Siembab Blaisdell passed away peacefully in St. Vincent’s Medical Center on October 3, 2012 with his loving family by his side.

Barry was born on June 28, 1942 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Harold and Cecelia Hoinacki Blaisdell. He served his country in the Army Reserves and was stationed in Germany. Barry was employed at Anco-Engineering as a Manufacturing Engineer for many years. He enjoyed Scuba Diving, flying model airplanes, collecting model cars and loved his cats.

In addition to his beloved wife Carol of 45 years, Barry is also survived by one son Todd Blaisdell of Stratford, one brother Dennis Blaisdell of Keene, NH, his mother-in-law Anna Siembab of Bridgeport and three cats, Rocky, Jazz and Midnight. He was also predeceased by his brother Warren Blaisdell.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 8, at 9 a.m in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home 2220 Main Street Stratford and at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Martin P. Ryan.

Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Trumbull and will be private. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home Monday from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
