Obituary: Alice Maglione, 94

Alice E. Tickey Maglione age 94, of Stratford, the beloved wife of the late Alfred J. Maglione of 61 years passed away peacefully on May 1, 2013 in Gardner Heights Nursing Facility.

Alice was born on February 24, 1919 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late William and Alice Morgan Tickey. She was employed at Sikorsky for many years and enjoyed spending precious time with her husband Alfred, watching UConn girls basketball and traveling to New Hampshire.

Alice is survived by two sons, Michael Maglione and his wife Jacqueline of Shelton and William Maglione and his partner Mark Collins of Nashua, N.H., five grandchildren, Tracey Sedlock and her husband Drew, Melissa Rotteck and her husband Jeffrey, Eric, Elizabeth and David Maglione, five great grandchildren, Jared, Samantha, Daniel, Logan and Benjamin and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3 at 10:30 a.m. in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main St., Stratford and at 11 a.m. in St. Margaret’s Shrine, Bridgeport where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Friday, May 3 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may contribute to Swim Across the Sound, 2800 Main St., Bridgeport 06606 in memory of Alice.
