Who is really behind the closing of Little Moe's ?????

Little Moe's on Main Street was to have been repainted, remodeled and then the grim reaper in the former of the landlord with the help of the cabal who thinks they run the restaurant business in the downtown area stepped in.
I am going to do my channel of Sgt. Joe Friday (Jack Webb, a brother Marine) with the famous lines of "the facts sir, nothing but the facts."
Fact : Yes, Moe was behind on her rent. Not six weeks, not five weeks not four weeks as the cabal had spread in the downtown rumor mill.
Fact: She was two weeks behind in her rent.
Fact : This month and next month are the slowest for the restaurant industry unless you have a deck and are near the water.
Fact : Her attorney and the attorney for the landlord were close to an agreement.
Fact : She had been approved for a loan to keep her going until September.
Fact : She was getting set to paint the place, install a new flat screen television and other items when the landlord and the cabal struck.
"I was locked out of the restaurant, the landlords attorney would not even take the calls from my attorney," Moe said.
Bad things happen to good people.
The McCoy's, now Mr. and Mrs. gave up their business.
Now Moe is in the same position. She was forced to give up her business.
Certain people in the downtown area spread some really foul rumors about Moe because she would not play the political kiss ass game that seem to go on in this town well below the mayor's radar.
One restaurant owner, who shall remain nameless, least I get Vi sine in my next drink and who has a member of his family volunteering for the Carrus Mortibus told me straight to my face Moe was in over her head.
I do not buy the line.
It strikes me strange that you would lock an owner out of her business for just two weeks back rent unless you wanted to get rid of that person and bring someone else in to run the restaurant.
I will bet any amount of money that the new owners or owner will be playing kiss ass with the downtown cabal, with money being spread around to every one including one person who actually thinks he can run for state political office.
With Moe's gone, the only restaurant in the downtown area you can have a good happy hour and good food is Acapulcos.
Hint to the cabal: do not mess with the Mexicans, "Remember the Alamo."
Moe is the type of person who will land on her feet.
I hope she will play get even with certain folks in town when she gets her new business up and running.
I told her, all she needs to do is ask for my help.
I have some friends in Bayonne, N.J. who recycle 50 gallon oil drums both with holes and without holes.
Only in Stratford, kiddies, only in Stratford.
