Monday Matinee showing of "The Butler" at the Stratford Library

The Stratford Library's monthly "Monday Matinees" film series continues this month with a showing of the box-office hit Lee Daniel's The Butler starring Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey. As Cecil Gaines serves eight presidents during his tenure as a butler at the White House, the civil rights movement, Vietnam, and other major events affect this man's life, family, and American society.

The series offers free showings of recent. popular films on Monday afternoons at noon. Movies are shown uncut on widescreen in the Stratford Library Lovell Room. For further information call the library at 203.385.4162.
