Councilman Jason Santi (D-4) proposed something other than an ordinance or resolution at the Town Council meeting Monday night.
Just before getting down to business, Santi proposed to girlfriend Mary Capozziello from his seat in the .
He then approaced Capozziello, got down on one knee, and slipped the ring onto her finger.
The crowd applauded and other council members wished Santi and Capozziello good luck.
