What's Closed


  • Town Hall—The town website says it's closed for Presidents Day.
  • The Stratford Library is closed in observance of the holiday.
  • Stratford Post Office—There will be no mail delivered or sent Monday.
  • Stratford Public Schools—No school Monday or for the rest of the week as students are on Winter Break.

State & Region

  • Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles customer services offices will close at 12:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and will be closed Monday.

So after a week of no garbage pick up in Stratford, the side of town that should have gotten garbage and recycling pick up last week only got their garbage picked up today. Does that mean the other side of town gets uninterrupted recycling pick up and this side, the south side will go three weeks without?
