Stratford: Thrift Shop $3 Bag Sale

Stratford: Winter Wine Down to Support the Stratford Dog Park

Where: 946 Ferry Boulevard

When: Saturday, March 23, 6 p.m.

Cost: $55

Description: Sample fine wines from different regions. If you purchase a bottle, a portion of the sale will be donated to the dog park. A silent auction will take place. Food from Riverview Bistro will be served and DJ Wacko Jacko will be spinning all the tunes on the dance floor.

Where: Bethany Town Hall, 40 Peck Road

When: Saturday, March 23, 6 p.m.

Cost: $12 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $6 for children 12 and under.

Description: Citizens of the Year Guy and Judy Yale will be honored. Wine and cheese is served at 6 p.m. with dinner beginning at 7 p.m. There will be both a silent and a live auction.

Bethel: 2nd Annual Bethel Blooms

Where: Clifford J. Hurgin Municipal Center, 1 School St.

Description: An Easter egg hunt, pictures with the Easter bunny and a community marketplace will take place.

Bethel: Drumming Circle

Where: Soul Focus, 145 Grassy Plain St.

Description: Soul Focus is a full-service wellness and awareness center a wide variety of spiritual health services for all ages in Bethel.

Bethel: Ecumenical Blessing of the Palms

Where: Clifford J. Hurgin Municipal Center, 1 School St.

When: Sunday, March 24, 9:30 a.m.

Cost: Free

Description: All members of the Bethel community are invited to join the First Congregational Church of Bethel, United Methodist Church and St. Thomas Episcopla churches as they gather for a brief service celebrating Palm Sunday.

Fairfield: 4th Annual Hair of the Dog Extravaganza

Where: Gaelic-American Club, 74 Beach Road, Fairfield

When: Saturday, March 23, two shows - 3 p.m. & 8 p.m. 

Cost: $22

Description: "Essentially a variety show with diversity that gives it a uniqueness that is hard to describe."

Fairfield: Irish Band Black 47 at Fairfield Theatre Company

Where: Fairfield Theatre Company, 70 Sanford St., Fairfield

Description: "This band of Irish rockers blows up yesterday's reedy, tweedy, Irish Spring image and grinds it into your face."

Newtown: 'How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying'

Description: Newtown High School  presents their spring musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. This is a family friendly musical with lots of singing and dancing. 

Norwalk: Easter Egg Scramble

Where: SoNo MarketPlace, 314 Wilson Ave.

When: Sunday, March 24, 1 p.m.

Cost: Free

Description: Calling all children. Come meet the Easter Bunny and bring a basket to gather the eggs. Each one has a treat inside. This event will take place rain or shine. A brunch/lunch menu will be served all day and jazz music will be played from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Orange: Parents' Night Out

Where: My Gym Orange, 391 Boston Post Road

When: Friday, March 22, 6 p.m.

Cost:  $25 for the first child, $10 per sibling

Description: Non-members welcome. This is a 3 hour fun-filled drop off for children of potty-trained age to age 9. Staff handles everything while you go enjoy a well-deserved evening off. Children will wear white to experience black light excitement, glow sticks and other glow-in-the dark themed activities.

Orange: Easter Egg Hunt

Where: High Plains Community Center, 525 Orange Center Road

When: Saturday, March 23, 12:30 p.m.

Cost: Free

Description: The Easter Bunny will arrive at 12:30 p.m. one half-hour before the start of the Easter Egg Hunt itself. There will be face painting for the children, and hot coffee for the adults. In case of inclement weather, a rain or snow date is set for Saturday, March 30.

Rowayton: Moving Sale

Where: 26 Flicker Lane

When: Saturday, March 23, 10 a.m.

Cost: Free

Description: Moving sale: Everything must go as the owner is moving overseas. Also a neighborhood and tag sale. Items: clothes, furniture, electronics, computer, office furniture, toys and tools.

Southbury: PHS Lacrosse Fundraiser

Where: United Church of Christ, Southbury

When: Friday, March 22, 7 p.m.

Description: PHS Lacrosse is holding a Fundraiser Dance open to all PHS students.

Stamford: The Loft Artists Associaton Presents 'Another View'

Description: This collection of fifteen recent paintings features subject matter ranging from solitary and multiple figures in stylized settings, to completely free-flowing abstract landscapes of the mind.

Woodbridge: Fire Safety & Prevention Day In Memory of Eva Ryan Block 

Where: Woodbridge Fire Department, 100 Center Road

When: Saturday, March 23, 10 a.m.

Cost: Free

Description: Learn fire safety and prevention, proper installation and placement of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and how and when to use fire extinguishers. Other activities: Touch a fire truck, try on firefighting gear, free child finder stickers, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors while supplies last.

Woodbridge: Beekeeping Workshop

Where: Massaro Community Farm, 41 Ford Road
