West Haven Man Accused of Shoplifting Held on Warrant

A suspected shoplifter apprehended at Walmart Wednesday afternoon was held on a PRAWN warrant.

Police reports said officers responded to Walmart, 150 Barnum Avenue Cut-Off, where store security reportedly detained a man who had changed out of his old boots into a new pair and attempted to leave the store without paying for them.

Kenneth Barsoumian, 46, of 275 Park St., West Haven, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, and police said a computer check showed that he was also wanted on a court-issued warrant for failure to appear in the second degree.
