Stratford Dietician to Speak at Parkinson's Support Group

On Thursday, Jan. 10, The Watermark at 3030 Park will host its monthly Parkinson's Support Group meeting. The meeting begins at 10 a.m. at the retirement community located at 3030 Park Avenue in Bridgeport.

January’s guest speaker will be Debbie Gilbert Taylor, a clinical dietitian Technician from Stratford who currently works at Norwalk Hospital. Taylor will discuss with residents and guests the importance of a balanced and healthy diet, and the positive effects this can have on people suffering from Parkinson's disease. Taylor will also discuss how balancing a nutritious and healthy diet is vital for everyone, not just those suffering from an illness.

"Debbie will be discussing which foods support healthy eating, along with nutrients and additives that can lead to illness," said Marlane Argianas, Resident Services Coordinator at The Watermark at 3030 Park. "It is important for people to learn about how proper nutrition can help them sustain a healthy lifestyle."
