Stratford Fire Gets New Engine

The Stratford Fire Department’s new Engine 3 has all the latest modern firefighting equipment and is “designed based on the needs of Stratford,” Fire Chief Robert McGrath tells Stratford Patch in an email.

The new pumper, purchased through “the competitive bid process” at $369,995, will be stationed in Lordship but serve the entire town, he says.

“It will replace the current model year 2000 fire pumper, which will be put into reserve status,” McGrath says. “After training and fit-out we expect it to be placed in service in a few weeks.”
