Shakespeare Troupe in Finale at the Stratford Library

The Hudson Shakespeare Company of New Jersey will perform its final summer Shakespeare production at the Stratford Library with a “Steampunk” version of the Bard’s classic tragedy, “Macbeth”.This production is given a new twist incorporating the Gothic style known as "Steampunk". This fashion and Comic-con staple combines styles of English Victorian dress with sci-fi tropes of gears, machinery and technology adding to the play's already dark and Halloween-like sensibilities.
Performances are held outdoors in the Library Amphitheatre and patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to spread.  In the event of inclement weather or extreme heat, the play will move inside to the air-conditioned Lovell Room.
