Friday Night Movie showing of Lincoln at the Stratford Library

Due to popular demand, the Stratford Library's monthly "Friday Night Movies" film series will continue in Fall 2013. The series offers free showings of recent, popular films on monthly Friday evenings at 7pm with a replay on Mondays at noon.
This month's movie is Lincoln, director Steven Speilberg's take on the towering legacy of Abraham Lincoln,focusing on his stewardship of the Union during the Civil War years. The biographical saga also reveals the conflicts within Lincoln's cabinet regarding the war and abolition. Daniel Day Lewis won the Oscar for his uncanny performance. Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones lend excellent support. Rated PG-13, 150 minutes.
