Champions before- and after-school programs are held in at Chapel Elementary, Franklin School, Lordship Elementary,More Stratford Academy, Whitney Elementary and Wilcoxson Elementary schools. There are academic, science and summer programs for children in preschool through grades K-6<strong></strong>. Children may be enrolled for a single school afternoon or for five school afternoons a week. Discounts are offered for multi-child enrollments, for employees of Stratford schools and for referring a friend to the program. Champions is an accredited national program.

Wooster fought in the War of 1756 and in the American Revolution he served as one of eight brigadier generals. General Wooster died in 1777 from injuries sustained in the war.</p> <p>Wooster Middle School opened in 1953 on 55 acres including Wooster Park.
