Frank Scott Bunnell High School is located in the north end of town serving grades 9-12 and is one of two publicMore high schools in Stratford. The school mascot is a bulldog. School colors are gold, white and blue. The school was founded in 1960 and has had several renovations since then, including an all-purpose sports stadium and track. The Bunnell Marching Band has won numerous awards. The school has more than 1,300 students.

The A.L.P.H.A. High School alternative program is located at the Birdseye Municipal Complex and offers a moreMore personalized academic program in the least restrictive environment for students who may not experience success in the more traditional mainstream high school program due to social, emotional or other qualifying circumstance. Enrollment is ongoing and open to students from Bunnell and Stratford high schools through a referral process from the guidance department or an administrator, and also to qualifying students from Milford's two high schools. The curriculum is modified from the existing programs but high school graduation requirements are not. For more information, contact the guidance department or administrators.
