Flag as Inappropriate

Longbrook Park is a 34-acre multiuse park that includes playground, swimming pool, football and baseball facilities. The park was created through the Works Project Administration program administered by the federal government during the Depression in the 1930s. The former swamp was once the site of the first Army air exercises, according to the town of Stratford's website. Today, the park features a winding brook, scenic walkways, abundant wildlife and scenic waterfalls and stone walls. The park was listed on the State Register of Historic Places by the Connecticut Historic Preservation Council in May 2010. It is also a home field for the Stratford High athletic program.
