Established by the Connecticut General Assembly in 1973, Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority's mission is to develop and implement environmentally sound solutions and best practices for solid waste disposal and recycling management throughout municipalities. Since 1993 it has been teaching children in Connecticut about sustainability, recycling and green living and offers classes, programs and special events through its on-site Trash Museum. The museum also features a variety of exhibits made out of waste materials.
