Ken Poisson has my vote

Sometimes political “rivals” become allies, but we have seen John Adams and Thomas Jefferson and Tip O’Neil and Ronald Reagan break partisan gridlock to win the our Independence and Cold War.  On a smaller scale, I can say that Councilman Ken Poisson is a friend and I lend him my full endorsement for a second term.

I had the honor of serving as Councilman in the Sixth District when I was a Democrat.  Ken won a hard fought election in 2011 for the Council.  Ken continues to fight for the same issues I did when I served on the Council.  This includes keeping a sharp eye on the town’s finances, making sure roads in our district are paved, and sidewalks fixed.  Ken 0continues to work on projects that I was working on when I served on the Council, and now we have seen North Ave, Freeman Ave, Woodcrest Ave, Andrew Street, and other areas of the district getting repaired.  Wooster Park is in much better shape in recent years.  Soccer and football games are finally played on Pender’s Field.  Bunnell has a new track.

I am now a Republican, it is about the Town and the people and not partisanship.  It is about helping neighbors out and making Stratford a great town to live.  I believe Ken will continue serving our Town well.  I am proud to support his campaign and I hope my fellow neighbors in the Sixth District support Ken this November.
