Town Tree Lighting, Blood Drive This Week in Stratford

A look ahead at some of the goings-on in Stratford this week.

Tuesday 

Stratford Town Tree Lighting Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus follow the town's annual tree lighting at Stratford Town Hall at 5:30 p.m. There will be hot chocolate and treats and the tree lighting will be preceded by a choir performance by local schoolchildren.

American Red Cross Blood Drive At the Knights of Columbus, 2252 Main St., Stratford. In order to donate you must be healthy — feel well and be able to perform normal activities. If you have a chronic condition such as diabetes, healthy also means that you are being treated and the condition is under control. You must be at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds.

5th Annual Wilcoxson Holiday Fair An evening full of fun festivities, which include children activities, arts and crafts, raffle prizes, pictures with Santa and many vendors. Admission is $1/person. Donations for canned goods will also be welcomed. Light refreshments will be available for purchase. A great opportunity to do your holiday shopping by supporting local vendors and Wilcoxson Elementary School.

Saturday

Christmas Craft Fair at Lordship Community Church The fair will feature the annual church quilt exhibit, old-fashioned candy, and many handcrafted items and jewelry from local artisans.  Several home party vendors will be present. Baked goods, Cabot cheese and wreaths will also be available for sale.
