Tuesday

Summer Concert Series Continues at Paradise Green The Recreation Department invites everyone to come listen to the tunes of the Nathan Ward Band as the Summer Concert Series continues at Paradise Green. The group will perform on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. The rain date is Thursday, Aug. 22. The concert is free. The public is invited to bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the music.

Park City Toastmasters Club Meeting Park City Toastmasters is an open group of members wanting to become better speakers and gain confidence for anything from being able to ace a job interview, network with business associates or give a speech or presentation to a large audience. Group meets every Tuesday evening at Lord Chamberlain Nursing Facility, 7003 Main St., Stratford. Free and open to everyone.

Get Answers on Medicare at Stratford Library Event An overview of Medicare and its parts, Medicare Advantage plans and why they can be free are some of the topics addressed by Insurance Advisor and retirement coach Jim Lambert in this free workshop. This non-commercial seminar is an easy way for an individual to be introduced to Medicare or for those on Medicare that are confused. Free and open to the public.

Learn How to Become a Naturalized U.S. Citizen Representatives from U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services and Stratford Continuing Education will discuss the requirements for naturalization and the naturalization test, the rights and responsibilities of every U.S. Citizen and classes currently offered for Citizenship Preparation and English-as-Second Language at Stratford High School. Library event free and open to public.

Pub Crawl to Benefit Stratford Dog Park Dress to impress 80s theme pub crawl in Stratford $35 to attend, includes 4 free drink tickets to participating bars, a NEON colored Headband and access to additional drink specials at participating bars. The night will wrap up with raffles and prizes for best 80s costume and hair.
