Festival Will Bring Shakespeare to Stratford

A 10-day long festival in August will feature theater, arts and music.

William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" will come to life this summer as part of the Festival Stratford!

Ramping up for that 10-day festival, organizers, including Waterbury-based Shakesperience, which is producing the performance, set up a booth at the recent . The booth was also manned by Richard Pheneger, general manager of ; Jeffrey Lapham, co-founder of Shakesperience; and David Morton, a magician and illusionist who owns a magic store at Captain's Cove in Bridgeport.

The sixth annual Festival Stratford!, on Aug. 11-21, features theater, arts, music, an acting camp and educational activities, according to the event website. It will take place on the grounds of American Festival Theatre, overlooking the Housatonic River in Stratford.
