The Town of Stratford needs volunteers for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). After completing a two-day training, CERT volunteers are prepared to help out in a variety of ways during a disaster. After ensuring their loved ones' safety, CERT volunteers are called to a specific location and provided with directions on what needs to be done. A training for CERT volunteers is scheduled on January 28 and February 4, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Birdseye Municipal Complex located at 468 Birdseye Street, Stratford.
