Two of the biggest names in US Women’s Soccer, Leslie Osborne and Amy LePeilbet, came to the United Athletic Centers in Stratford on Sunday.

More than 200 girls from across Connecticut came out to meet the soccer pros who play for the Boston Breakers in the Women's Professional Soccer league. The girls also participated in a free clinic run by girlsCAN Football, an organization dedicated to furthering girl’s soccer by running camps and clinics in the Fairfield County area. GirlsCAN is a program run by women to inspire and motivate girls!

"This is totally amazing," said 13-year-old Julia Christo from Monroe. "I am so excited I got to meet Leslie and Amy."

Osbourne and LePeilbet spoke to the girls about the importance of staying focused in school and working hard in practice.

"Dream big, always believe and make it happen," LePeilbet told the group.
