Stratford Library Offers Free Coupons

The Stratford Library Adult Services Department has begun a free coupon program for its patrons.  The give-away is in conjunction with Two Frugal Fairfielders, a local blog which provides an online community place to share local affordable ways to live in Fairfield County and promotes frugality as a way to live a simple and prosperous life.  Stacks of weekly Smart Source coupon inserts are currently available for public use in wire baskets located near the Main Street entrance of the Library. The coupon program is part of the Library’s ongoing Project Money Smart series.

Patrons are encouraged to visit often for new coupons and, to keep completely up to date, “like” the Two Frugal Fairfielders’ Facebook page and receive a post when new coupons arrive.  The Library’s Reference Department has compiled a book display adjacent to the coupons on how to save money and live frugally. The Library also subscribes to Consumer Reports, the bible for the financially savvy.  The print magazine is at the SLA Reference Desk, but with a Stratford Library card patrons can logon to www.stratfordlibrary.org, click on “Get It Online with your Library Card” and access Consumer Reports online.  Non-residents should ask at the Reference Desk for database computers.

Patrons are asked to take the coupons they need at each visit and “keep the corner neat!”  The Stratford Library, 2203 Main Street is open Monday-Thursday: 10-8 and Friday-Saturday: 10-5.  For further information, call the Adult Service Department at 203.385.4161.
