Stratford Library Adds New Language-Learning Database

Traveling this summer? Learn the language before you take off! Our new database, Mango Languages, can help you learn Spanish, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Mandarin Chinese, Greek, Italian & more! Mango includes 47 languages and 15 ESL courses that teach English in popular native languages. Mango is free for all library patrons, and offers a fast and convenient solution for our community’s increasing language-learning needs. Patrons can use Mango at the library, at home, or on –the-go with free apps for iPhone, iPod touch and Android.

Each lesson combines real life situations and audio from native speakers with simple, clear instructions. The courses are presented with an appreciation for cultural nuance and real-world application that integrates components of vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and culture.

Whether you need to learn a second language for business or travel reasons or just because it would be interesting, learning a language with Mango is fun and easy.
