'Organic Photography' Gallery at the Stratford Library

Stunning color and black-and-white images grace the lobby of the Stratford Library through December.

Mindz Eye: An Organic Photographic Retrospective, a collection of original works by former Trumbull resident Kirk Duwel, will be the December exhibit at the Stratford Library.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Prints of the images are available for sale at the Stratford Library and would be sure to be appreciated as an unusual holiday gift.

Kirk Duwel has compiled a collection of his photographic works from around the world with a distinct focus on the natural beauty found in the landscapes of the Western United States. Several photographs were taken during an extensive trip he took to many of the country's national parks including Yellowstone, Glacier, Crater Lake, Redwood, Joshua Tree, Arches and others.

Duwel attended Renselear Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, and majored in Electronic Media Arts and Communications. He is currently studying to become an osteopathic physician at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Duwel continues his artistic pursuit of organic photography with several long-term time-lapse photographic projects.

Viewing hours for Mindz Eye are Monday thru Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. The exhibit will continue through December 2011 and is located in the main lobby of the Stratford Library.
