Did you know of the 14 mountains that top 8,000 meters, eight are in Nepal.
Stratford resdient Orna Rawls, who trekked around the Everest Base Camp and the Annapurna range, will talk about the unique culture of trekking and the traditions, religions and people of Nepal.
A filmed presentation of her adventures will accompany the talk. Mrs. Rawls enthralled a standing-room-only audience previously at the library with lectures on both Nepal and Tibet.
"Glimpses of Nepal" is part of our "One Book, One Stratford" program. This program will be held in the library's Lovell Room beginning at 7 p.m. on November 8. For further information call the library's Public Relations & Programming Office at 203.385.4162 or visit: www.stratfordlibrary.org.
