Fairfield Exhibit of Shakespeare Theatre Props Extends Its Run

'A Century of Theatre in Fairfield County' will run until April 1.

Due to unprecedented demand, the has been extended to run until Sunday, April 1, 2012.

While the exhibit as a whole features the archives of several Connecticut theatres, the highlight of the display is a fantastic array of props, photos, and costumes unearthed from Stratford's "White House" and the American Shakespeare Festival Theatre.

The glamor and charisma of Katharine Hepburn steals the show. Visitors will see actual costumes she wore while performing at Stratford's theatre, and even a  bust of her head in character as Cleopatra, as seen in the 1960 production of "Antony and Cleopatra" at the Elm Street theatre.
