Celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday at the Library

Read Across America volunteers host an event March 2.

Read Across America volunteers will hold a reading and craft program for elementary school children on Friday, March 2, from 2:45 to 4:45 p.m. in the Lovell Room to celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday.

The Stratford and Bunnell High School volunteers of the Youth Health Service Corps will read health-related stories including what foods are healthy to eat and provide tips on preventing the flu by using a fun handwashing activity. There will be a free book for the first 50 children.

The program is sponsored by The Stratford Library Association Teen Services, America Health Education Center, Youth Health Service Corps and Read Across America.
