Over the years, Stratford resident Zofia Wieciorwowska has been a regular participant in the Sprint for Monroe.

By the 50-year-old runner's own estimate, she has won in the women's category around seven times.

On Sunday, Wieciorwowska was the first woman to cross the finish line once again.

"I think for my age, it was OK," she said of her finish. "Today was very hot and hard to run, but here there is more shade with lots of trees."

Wieciorwowska had an unofficial time of 20:00:10 on Sunday, but she holds the Sprint for Monroe's all-time record for women with a time of around 16:30.
