Stratford Brakettes-Bridgeport Bluefish Showdown Postponed By Rain

The Stratford Brakettes' first-ever game against an all-men's team came to a halt when it started pouring rain in the bottom of the first inning with the Bridgeport Bluefish batting Monday night at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

The exhibition game, a "Battle of the Sexes" between the Brakettes and Bluefish, was postponed after an hour-plus rain delay. The game will be made up on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

After the game was called, players from both teams ran the bases and slid across the tarp on their bellies, according to the Hartford Courant.
