Roger Clemens Returns to Baseball Saturday Against Bridgeport Bluefish

The formerly retired pitcher joins the independent Atlantic League with the Sugar Land Skeeters of Texas.

Former Major League Baseball great Roger Clemens, the latest acquisition for the Sugar Land Skeeters, will be making his debut against the Bridgeport Bluefish on Saturday in a home game in Texas.

The 50-year-old pitcher, who won two championship rings with the New York Yankees before retiring in 2007, was found not guilty of .

"Everybody has their own opinion and they dwell on that so much," he told ESPN. "In between all of that, handling that business up there and doing what was right for me and my family and taking that head-on, I was still doing the work that I've always done. So it wasn't gloomy or depressing."

The game starts at 8:05 p.m., according to the 2012 schedule for the Bridgeport Bluefish, which is celebrating its 15-year anniversary this year. Click here for information on events and promotions during the 2012 season.
