Course participants will learn what it takes to be a professional lifeguard: job responsibilities; patron surveillance skills; rescue skills; first aid; CPR/AED skills; and oxygen administration. Lifeguard candidates must be at least 15 years old, must be able to swim 300 yards continuously using front crawl and breaststroke, and submerge to a depth of 7-10 feet.

We will provide a copy of the textbook (Lifeguarding by Staywell), a CPR pocket resuscitator, as well as a special parting gift upon completion of the class. We require that at least four participants register to run this course.
