The iRover Adds to the Host of Activities at the Stratford Library
The library offers activities for every age and interest.
For the Stratford students who did not travel out of town over the February vacation recently, the Stratford Library hosted a number of free events. Many families took advantage and some were pleasantly surprised by the addition of a brand new iRover system in the Children's Library.
Many of the library events are staffed by librarians and volunteers. Volunteer Gina Marino, 15, of Stratford High School encourages families to bring their children to "come and play" at the Stratford Library. "There are a lot of fun activities to get them involved in the library" and interested in books.
Gina supervised the Board and Video Games group. Children between the ages of three and eleven years old played KidsBop, Mario Brothers, Just Dance, Golf and other games on the new iRover system.

The gaming system was recently installed after Librarian Ms. Martha won the system on Broadart Library Supply Company's page on Facebook. Librarian Ms. Caitlin said that they are “so excited to have the iRover to provide more diversified programs and workshops to the Stratford residents.”
The Stratford library offers a variety of free events and resources for children, teens and adults. While many events are literary based, many others focus on personal development, such as the upcoming workshops for teens and job seekers.
