The band, clad in jeans and T-shirts, took third in a weekend competition in Danbury.

Donning jeans and black T-shirts, the Bunnell High School Marching Band placed third in a weekend competition held at Danbury High School.

The 100-plus member band performed to the music of Emerson, Lake & Palmer at Connecticut's first United States Scholastic Band Association competition of the season.

Recently, the marching band applied for and won a grant from Pepsi, which will provide funds to pay for the first new uniforms in 17 years. The new uniforms will be black with the same B insignia that were on the T-shirts over the weekend.
